ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer lost a heartbreaker to Marymount University, 1-0, on Wednesday evening in an Atlantic East Conference contest.
Prior to the game, the Knights honored their two seniors:
Eddie Proud and
Seth Walker.
Both teams fought hard throughout the entire game, never backing down from charging the ball. Walker had four amazing saves on the night as the teams. Each team had six shots in the first half. The Saints outshot the Knights 12-6 in the second half, but each team had five shots on target.
The teams remained scoreless through most of the game. The long goal came in the 90
th minute as Marymount converted on a corner kick.
A few minutes before the goal, the Knights had a great look at the goal, but the shot from
Jake Kuzmick went just wide of the net.
Neumann (5-7-1, 3-1 Atlantic East) heads to Marywood University on Saturday for their second-to-last conference game of the regular season. The game is slated to begin at 4:00 PM.
