ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball heads to Marymount University for an Atlantic East Conference semifinal match-up on Thursday evening.
The Knights finished third in the Atlantic East Conference standings with a 4-2 conference record. The Saints are the No. 2 seed, going 5-1 in Atlantic East action.
Regan Hickey leads the Knights with 383 kills this season over 30 matches. The junior also leads the team with 65 service aces.
Lauren Garvey has added 249 kills.
Dani Smith has handed out 864 assists and 48 service aces.
Claudia Bournazel anchors the Knights defense with 380 digs. Hickey has added 304 digs while Smith has tallied 302.
During the regular season, Marymount defeated Neumann 3-0 with set scored of 25-15, 25-15 and 25-14. Smith reached her 1,000
th career assist in the first set and finished with24 assists. Hickey led the Knights with 11 kills. Garvey had seven and
Jules Dill added six. Bournazel tallied 12 digs while
Tori Burgess and Hickey each added eight.
No. 1 Cabrini will host No. 4 Marywood in the other semifinal match. The winners from Thursday will meet on Saturday at the highest remaining seed for the 2022 Atlantic East Championship.
