IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team dropped an Atlantic East Conference contest 52-37 at Immaculata University on Saturday afternoon.
Madison Stewart led the Knights with 12 points off the bench.
Terea Hunt added 11 points.
With the teams tied at six towards the end of the first quarter, the Mighty Macs scored seven of the final nine points for a 13-8 lead after the first 10 minutes.
Stewart scored the first four points of the second quarter to pull Neumann to within one, 13-12. Immaculata answered with the next eight points for a 21-12 advantage. The Knights cut the deficit to three, 21-18, before the Mighty Macs netted the final seven points of the half and took a 28-18 lead into the break.
The teams went back and forth throughout the second half. but the Mighty Macs used the lead built before halftime and four three-throws in the final minute to come away with the 52-37 win.
Neumann (9-14, 4-6 Atlantic East) heads to Cabrini on Monday evening as it starts the final week of regular season action. Tip-off is slated for 6:30 PM.
