CLERMONT, Fla. – The Neumann University softball team opened the 2022 season at the Spring Games in Clermont, Fla. on Saturday evening. The Knights fell to Saint Mary's University (MN0 14-0 in five innings.
 
Ashley Mazzeo started the game in the circle and went 3.0 innings. She allowed eight runs, three earned, on eight hits. Ashlynne Scardino went the next 2.0 innings and allowed six runs, two earned, on four hits.
 
Emily Reid, Christina Ludovico, and Ashley Leicht each had a hit for the Knights.
 
Neumann (0-1) is right back on the field tomorrow for a pair of games. The Knights will face Elizabethtown at 12:30 PM, followed by Concordia at 2:45 PM.
