ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University softball team dropped a pair of Atlantic East Conference games to Immaculata University on Saturday afternoon. The Mighty Macs won by scores of 11-3 and 15-2, both in five innings.
The Mighty Macs got on the board early with two runs in the first inning of game one.
Vanessa Bowen hit a two-run double in the second to tie the game at two.
Immaculata answered right back with three runs in the top of the third. Down 11-2 heading into the bottom of the fifth, Bowen scored on a single by
Emily Reid, but the Knights fell 11-3.
Olivia Ammon started the game and went 4+ innings in the circle.

Courtney McKenna finished the fifth inning.
In game two, Immaculata again struck early and plated three runs in the first and six in the third. The Knights got a run on the board in the bottom of the third as Reid scored on a triple by
Emily DuPont.
The Mighty Macs scored six unearned runs in the fourth for a 15-1 lead. Bowen scored on a sacrifice fly in the fifth from
Bri Reim for the 15-2 score.
Ashlynne Scardino pitched the complete game.
Neumann (5-14, 1-3 Atlantic East) heads to Washington College on Tuesday for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 PM.
