ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team defeated Cairn University 7-2 on a windy and chilly Friday afternoon.
Daniel Bonowski and
Justin McCullen opened the match with an 8-5 win at first doubles. With a forfeit at third doubles, Neumann took a 2-1 lead into singles action.
Bownowski followed with a 6-4, 6-4 win at first singles. McCullen picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at second singles.
Joe Troilo won fourth singles 6-1, 6-3.
Anthony Carpinella battled to his first collegiate win, 6-1, 4-6, 10-6, at third singles.
Neumann (2-1) is slated to open conference play on Wednesday when it hosts Marymount beginning at 3:30 PM.
