ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team fell to Marymount University 8-1 on Monday afternoon to open Atlantic East Conference action.
The Saints took all three points in doubles action. The duo of
Joe Troilo and
Gavin Fuhs battled at third doubles, but ultimately fell 8-7.
Troilo picked up the lone points for the Knights at fifth singles. After falling 6-3 in the first set, the freshman came back for a 6-1 second set win and 10-4 deciding set victory.
Neumann (2-2, 0-1 Atlantic East) hits the road for the first time and will travel to Marywood on Wednesday for a conference match beginning at 3:30 PM.
