SCRANTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team picked up a 6-3 win at Marywood University in Atlantic East Conference action on Wednesday afternoon.
 
This was the first match the Knights hit the road this season. Neumann picked up two points in doubles action. The duo of Daniel Bonowski and Justin McCullen won first doubles 8-5. Dylan Stiteler and Joe Troilo won third doubles 8-7 (7-2). Anthony Carpinella and Vince Landis battled at second doubles but dropped the match 8-5.
 
The Knights went on to pick up four od the six points in singles action. Bonowski won 6-3, 6-2 in the first flight. McCullen won by retirement at second singles, 6-4, 4-3 (ret.). After falling behind 6-4 in the first set, Landis won the next two 6-2, 6-3 at third singles. Troilo wrapped up action with a 7-5, 6-2 win at fifth singles.
 
Neumann (3-2, 1-1 Atlantic East) will host Gwynedd Mercy in the next conference match on Monday beginning at 3:30 PM.
