GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Neumann University men's soccer team fell short, 2-0, at Stockton University on Wednesday evening.
The Ospreys opened the scoring in the 30
th minute as they converted a penalty kick. The score remained 1-0 until Stockton netted an insurance goal with just over two minutes remaining in the game.
Seth Walker made three saves in net.
Javier Mejia had two shots to lead the Knights.
Stockton outshot Neumann 18-6 overall, but most of the Osprey shots were off target and shots on goal were 5-3. Corner kicker were close as Stockton had six and Neumann five.
Neumann (2-3) returns home to host Moravian on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is slated for 1:00 PM.
