ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team fell to Moravian University 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Eddie Proud continued to lead the Knights, scoring in the 34
th minute. The goal put the Knights up 1-0 in the first half and
Alex Pobre tallied the assist. Each team had five shots in the first half and Neumann took the 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Greyhounds tied the game five minutes into the second half. Moravian got a shot off a corner kick and put the rebound in for the goal. In the 75
th minute, Moravian was awarded a penalty shot. The Greyhounds converted the shot to take a 2-1 advantage.
The Knights had a chance in the final minute to tie the game, but Proud's shot was saved by the Greyhounds keeper.
Moravian outshot Neumann 7-2 in the second half for 12-7 in the game. Each team had four corner kicks in the contest.
Seth Walker made four saves in net for the Knights.
Neumann (2-4) heads to Widener on Wednesday evening for cross-county match-up beginning at 7:00 PM.
