CHESTER, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team was doubled-up by Widener University 2-1 on Wednesday evening.
All scoring took place in the first half. The Pride opened the scoring in the seventh minute. The Knights responded in the 20
th minute as
Javier Mejia scored off an assist from
Gabe Romero. Widener took the 2-1 lead in the 29
th minute.
Neither team could find the net in the second half and the game ended 2-1.
Seth Walker made five saves in net. Widener outshot Neumann 13-5 overall. All five of the Knights' shots were on target, led by Mejia with a pair.
Neumann (2-5) will return home to host Lebanon Valley College on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM.
