COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Ursinus College on Tuesday evening. Set scores were 25-13, 25-16 and 25-16.
Lauren Garvey and
Regan Hickey each tallied six kills for the Knights.
Dani Smith handed out 10 assists.
Ashlyn Klitsch dished out nine.
Tori Burgess,
Claudia Bournazel and Hickey all notched eight digs.
The Bears took a 6-4 edge in the first set and scored 11 straight points for a 17-4 lead. Ursinus took set one 25-13.
Ursinus made some mini runs in the second set for a 25-16. The Bears opened set three scoring six of the first seven points. The Knights chipped their way back to 7-6. With the score 9-8, the Bears rattled off five consecutive points to take a 14-8 lead. Ursinus used another six point run later in the set to take set three 25-16 and the match 3-0.
Neumann (0-5) will head to Messiah on Saturday for a tri-match with Dickinson. Action gets underway at 11:00 AM.
