ASTON, Pa.- The Neumann University women's soccer team fell one goal short against Penn State Berks 1-0 on Wednesday evening in its first home game of the season.
Through a well-fought and physical game, Penn State Berks scored the only goal of the game in the 57
th minute.
The Knight's had five shots on goal overall, all on net, by five different players. Keeper
Leona Macrina made 10 saves in net. Many of those saves came in the second half to keep Neumann within striking distance. Each team had three corner kicks.
As time was winding down in regulation, the Knights pressed towards the offensive zone. Neumann got the ball in front of the net but could not get a shot off before the Lions cleared and time ran out.
Neumann (0-3) will look to picked up its first win on Saturday when it travels to Albright. Action gets underway at 7:30 PM.
