RADNOR, Pa – The Neumann University men's soccer team defeated Cabrini University 3-2 on Wednesday evening in an Atlantic East Conference matchup.
The scored stayed locked at zero throughout the first half. Neumann led Cabrini with four shots and remained possession for majority of the first 45 minutes of play.
The Knights scored their first goal six minutes in the second half of the game when
Jake Kuzmick found the back of the net with an assist from
Eddie Proud. Two minutes later the Cavaliers got the equalizer. In the 59th minute of play, Cabrini took a lead 2-1
In the 70
th minute,
Jon Zubert tied the game 2-2 with another assist from Proud. Just 45 seconds later, the Knights found themselves leading the game 3-2 with a goal scored by
Luke Mejia with a double assist from Kuzmick and
Gabriel Romero.
Seth Walker remained stellar in goal for the Knights coming up big with three saves throughout this contest. Eash team finished with five shots on goal.
Neumann (5-4-1, 3-0 Atlantic East) will return home and play a non-conference game against Penn State Schuylkill on Saturday. The contest is slated to begin at 1:00 PM.
