ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Soccer team played to a 2-2 tie on their home turf on Saturday afternoon in an Atlantic East Conference match up.
The first goal in the match came in the first two minutes of play when the Griffins took the lead 1-0.
Chloe Britton was able to find the equalizer in the 37
th minute of play after an
Ebony Arvelo shot rebounded of off the goalkeeper, bringing the score to 1-1.
This was a very back and forth match with plenty of equal possession. Gwynedd Mercy was able to take the lead with 31 minutes remaining in the game making the score 2-1. In the 82
nd minute of the game,
Dylan Brown distributed the ball to
Chloe Britton for her to score her second goal of the game, equalizing the game for good.
Sarah Andreano was in goal for the Knights and made two saves. Arvelo led Neumann with three shots on goal.
Neumann (6-5-3, 2-1-2 Atlantic East) will host Marymount University on Wednesday night. The match is slated for 7:00 PM.
