ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University Women's Soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with Marymount University on Wednesday night, closing the regular season schedule.
In the 12
th minute of the match, two quick shots by
Catherine Miller and
Morghan Stiles almost gave the Knights the lead.
Jaclyn Burmood led Neumann with two shots on goal.
The defense came up big for the Knights with big step ups by
Jordan Bard,
Caitlin Llewellyn, and Burmood.
Alexis Navarro was in goal for Neumann coming up with three big time saves in this contest. Her biggest save came with six minutes left in the game on a breakaway, but Navarro came up big to preserve the tie.
Neumann (6-5-4, 2-1-3 Atlantic East) will host the first round of the Atlantic East Conference tournament as the number four seed. The Knights will take on the Centenary University Cyclones this Saturday for a berth in the semi-finals.
