LANCASTER, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team completed a sweep at the F&M Tournament by defeating Lancaster Bible College 64-56 on Sunday afternoon.
Lauren Klieber led the Knights with 27 points and nine rebounds.
Aubrie Breisblatt added 15 points and seven boards.
Terea Tourk also grabbed nine rebounds and nothced seven blocks.
Emily DuPont netted nine points.
With the scored tied at six, a three-pointer by Klieber started an 11-4 run for the Knights for a 17-10 lead after the first quarter. A three-pointer by DuPont put Neumann up 30-18 in the second quarter. Lancaster Bible scored the final six points before halftime for a 30-24 score at the break.
With the Knights holding a nine-point advantage, 40-31, the Chargers scored nine straight points to tie the game at 40. Hunt scored the last basket of the third quarter for a 42-40 edge heading into the final quarter.
The Knights went on a 14-7 run over the first five minutes of the final quarter to build a 56-47 lead. A layup by DuPont gave Neumann a double-digit lead with under three minutes to play in regulation. The Chargers hit two three-pointers in the final 20 seconds, but the Knights came away with the 64-56 win.
Neumann (3-0) returns home on Wednesday as it hosts Ursinus College. Action is slated to get underway at 7:00 PM.
