ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Basketball team were handed their first loss of their season as they dropped a 65-43 decision to Ursinus College on Wednesday night.
 
After trading baskets for the first four minutes, the Bears went on a 10-0 run, closing the opening quarter with a 15-6 lead. Ursinus pushed the lead to 18 midways through the second and never really looked back, extending to 19 at the break. Down by 28 in the third, the Knights tried to claw back into it but never got closer than 19 points down.
 
Neumann was led by Emily DuPont's 17-point, six rebound effort, as she shot 50 percent for the game. Lauren Klieber had a ten-point game and Terea Tourk scored six.  
 
Neumann(3-0) will be back in action on Friday, starting a five-game road swing against Rosemont College. The opening tip is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
