ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team got back into the win column with a 73-43 win at Rosemont College on Friday evening.
Lauren Klieber led the Knights with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Aubrie Breisblatt netted 12 points while
Emily DuPont added 10 points and grabbed eight boards. It was a total team effort on the floor as 12 of the 13 players grabbed at least one rebound and 10 players netted at least two points.
Tied at four early in the game, Neumann went on a 16-4 run for a 20-8 lead with 4:24 left in the first quarter. The Knights extended their lead to 15, 32-17 at the first break. Neumann doubled up Rosemont 16-8 for scoring in the second quarter and the Knights took a 48-25 lead into halftime.
The Knights held the Ravens to just four points in the third quarter and held a 66-29 lead heading into the fourth. Rosemont outscored Neumann in the fourth, but the Knights came away with the 73-43 win.
Neumann (4-1) continues its five-game road trip on Tuesday when it heads to Widener. Action is slated to get underway at 6:00 PM.
