ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey fell 3-1 against Arcadia University on Friday evening in United College Hockey Conference (UCHC) action.
After a scoreless first period, Arcadia opened the scoring midway through the second period. Fourminutes later, Arcadia doubled the lead to 2-0.
Arcadia was able to capitalize on a power play six minutes into the third for a 3-0 score. Neumann spoiled the shutout with a power play goal midway through the third as
Jamiyah Alexander scored on a shot from just inside the blueline.
Gia Santorello tallied the assist.
Michelle Winand-Bacon made 40 saves in the game. Santorello blocked five shots.
Neumann (1-2, 0-1) will travel to Arcadia tomorrow for more UCHC action beginning at 7:30 PM.
