YORK, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team defeated York College (Pa.) on Saturday afternoon in the final game of the five-game road trip.
Lauren Klieber led the Knights with 21 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks.
Terea Tourk added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Emily DuPont added 13 points.
Points were hard to come by in the first quarter as each team scored six points. A three-pointer by Klieber to open the second quarter started and 18-4 run for the Knights in the second quarter. A layup by
Aubrie Breisblatt before the buzzer gave Neumann a 24-10 lead at the half.
The Knights held a double-digit lead for most of the third quarter and took a 36-26 lead into the fourth quarter. The Spartans opened the fourth quarter on a 10-2 run to pulled within two, 38-36. The Knights answered with the next six points. Neumann went 4-for-6 in the final minute to hold on and come away with the 52-45 win.
Neumann (6-3) returns home on Monday and will host Wilkes beginning at 6:00 PM.
