ASTON, Pa. - Neumann University Director of Athletics and Recreation, Chuck Sack, is happy to announce the hiring of Erik Temple as the new Men's Soccer coach at Neumann University.
"Erik's enthusiasm and energy for the sport of soccer and the Neumann University community were evident throughout our search process. He demonstrated an authentic leadership style that will positively impact our current and future team members. We are excited to welcome Erik back to our community in the role of head men's soccer coach.", says Sack on Temple returning to Neumann.
Temple served as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Knights from 2014 to 2019. Over that time, Neumann won two conference titles, earned one NCAA bid, and made two appearances in the ECAC tournament.
"I am extremely excited to rejoin Neumann University and the Men's Soccer Program. Neumann and its community has always been home and I'm honored to be the next Head Coach. I would like to thank President Dr. Chris Domes and Athletic Director Chuck Sack for this opportunity and supporting my vision for the Men's Soccer Program", says Temple. "Neumann University is a special place and throughout the process Chuck and the rest of the committee demonstrated their passion for Neumann Athletics. I would also like to thank former Head Coach Tim Hollenback for the opportunity to be his assistant from 2014-2020 and his commitment to the program. Tim and his staff have created a strong culture and I'm excited to start the next chapter for the Men's Soccer Program."

As their College Pathway Director, he has 72 players currently committed to play in college. Temple is also the coach for their U17 and U19 ECNL teams.
Previously, Erik was the Club Staff Coach and Boys High School Director of the Delaware Football Club of Hockessin, Delaware. He was also part of the coaching staffs for Immaculata University, the Penn Fusion Soccer Academy, and was Director of Coaching for the Delaware Union.
As a player, Temple starred at Salesianum High School. After his four years as a varsity player, his teams won three Delaware state championships. Over the last two years of his high school career, the Sallies had an impressive 40-0 record and in his senior year, in which he was captain, they were ranked eighth in the country. Collegiately, Erik played at York College of Pennsylvania, winning three conference championships, and making four appearances in the NCAA Division Three tournament, reaching the sectional finals twice.
