RYE, N.Y. – The Neumann University Women's Ice Hockey team ended the season against United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) foes Manhattanville, falling by an 11-0 score on Saturday afternoon.
Manhattanville started the scoring off a little over five minutes into the game and added three more, including two power play goals, for a 4-0 lead after 20 minutes. The Valiants added four more goals in the second and three in the third to close out the contest.
Ally Joly made 55 saves between the pipes for the Knights in her final game.
Mikaylee Henhawk,
Taylor Ettore, and
Rachel Frederick each had two shots on goal.
Sidney Squires had a strong face-off game, winning 11 of 15.
Alana Lamplugh and
Emma Tauken each blocked three shots to help to defense.
Neumann finishes the season with a 6-18 record, 5-15 in UCHC play. Unfortunately, the Knights did not qualify for the UCHC post-season tournament, but they look forward to the 2023-24 season, starting in late October.
