RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team opened the 2023 season with a 9-0 win over Cabrini University on Tuesday afternoon in Atlantic East Conference action.
All three doubles duos took their matches by 8-1 scores.
Hannah Asaka and
Dari Troilo teamed up at first doubles.
Kaitlyn Smith and
Alura Troilo paired together at second doubles.
Kylie Seeger and
Kannitha Phosouvanh-Sythong rounded out doubles action in the third flight.
D. Troilo won her second singles match 6-0, 6-0 while Asaka also took her match at third singles 6-0, 6-0 to open singles action. Seeger picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at fifth singles.
Kayleigh DellaVecchio took the sixth flight 6-0, 6-1 in her Knights debut. A. Troilo won 6-1, 6-1 at fourth singles. Smith rounded out the sweep with a 6-4, 6-3 win at first singles.
Neumann (1-0, 1-0 Atlantic East) will continue conference action on Saturday when it hosts Marywood beginning at 12:00 PM.
