ASTON, Pa. – The Neuman University men's tennis team split two Atlantic East Conference matches over the weekend. The Knights dropped a 6-0 decision at Marymount on Saturday. Neumann rebounded with a 5-4 win over Marywood at home on Sunday.
In doubles action against the Pacers,
Logan Gorbitz and
Anthony Andrews picked up an 8-5 win in the second flight.
The Knights then won singles third through sixth for the 5-4 win.
Joe Troilo won 6-3, 6-0 at third singles.
Anthony Carpinella won 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3 in fourth singles. Gorbitz won fifth singles 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.
James Leuzzi tallied a 6-3, 6-2 win at sixth singles.
Neumann (5-2, 3-1 Atlantic East) is the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic East postseason and will host a semifinal match on Thursday.
