ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team is the No. 4 seed in the Atlantic East Conference playoffs and will host No. 5 seeded Immaculata in first round action on Saturday.
The Knights went 11-5 overall and 3-3 in conference action. Immaculata was 4-11 overall and 2-4 in the conference.
During the regular season, Neumann came away with a 17-8 win over Immaculata.
Lindsey Fagan led the Knights with six goals and two assists.
Brylin Adams tallied her 200th career point as she added three goals and an assist.
Jayana Murray added two goals and two assists.
Maggie Miller and
Cionni Warrington each netted a pair of goals in the win.
Catriona Corrigan made 14 saves in net for the win. Miller added five ground balls while
Maggie Blemings added four. Adams notched nine draw controls and Fagan grabbed six.
On the season, Fagan leads the Knights with 59 goals and nine assists for 68 points. Adams has tallied 49 goals and 14 assists for 63 points. Blemings has handed out a team-high 37 assists.
Fagan (63) and Adams (57) also leads the team in draw controls. Murray and
Alison Mallon have each added 26. Corrigan has started all 16 games in net and has made 134 saves in over 900 minutes.
In the other first round game, No. 6 Gwynedd Mercy travels to No. 3 Marymount.
Cabrini claimed the No. 1 seed while Marywood finished as the No. 2 seed. The winners on Saturday will travel to the No. 1 and 2 seeds on Wednesday for semifinals action. The winners from Wednesday will play for the 2023 Atlantic East Championship on Saturday, May. 6.
