CAMDEN, N.J. – The Neumann University Women's Soccer team started their 2023 campaign with a 3-0 non-conference loss against the Rutgers-Camden Scarlet Raptors.
 
Rutgers-Camden scored the game's opening goal just 1:37 into the match. That score would hold until halftime, but the Scarlet Raptors would double their advantage in the 47^th minute, 1:32 after the break. In the 58^th minute, Rutgers-Camden closed out the scoring on a shot from outside the box.
 
Kyleigh Joniec got the start in goal and made five saves in the effort.
 
The Knights(0-1) will have a quick turnaround as they'll play tomorrow afternoon in their home-opener against Keystone College. The opening kick will be at 4:00 PM at the Neumann University Turf Field.
