IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team fell at Immaculata University 73-49 on Saturday afternoon in an Atlantic East Conference matchup.
Emily DuPont led the Knights with 14 points.
Terea Tourk added 11 points.
A jumper by Tourk put the Knights up 6-5 in the first quarter. The Mighty Macs then outscored Neumann 25-4 over the final seven minutes of the quarter for a 30-10 lead.
Immaculata scored the first five points of the second quarter. The Knights answered with a 15-0 run to cut the lead to 10, 35-25. The teams traded baskets for the rest of the half for a 39-29 score at the break.
The Mighty Macs opened the third quarter with a 9-2 run to take a 48-31 lead. Immaculata continued to build its lead and took a 57-37 lead heading into the final 10 minutes. The Knights could not cut into the lead and the Mighty Macs led by more than 20 for the rest of regulation.
Neumann (11-6, 1-2 Atlantic East) returns home for the first time in 2024 and will host Marywood in an Atlantic East contest. Action is slated to begin at 6:00 PM.
