SCRANTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team doubled-up Marywood University 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in an Atlantic East Conference matchup.
The Knights opened the scoring in the 33
rd minute as
Riley Senisi scored on a header after a few throw ins to get down the field.
Jon Zubert drew the assist. Neumann held the 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the 55
th minute, after the Knights inbound a corner kick,
Zion Atta-Krah knocked the ball into the net off an assist from
Carter Gorczyca. The Pacers cut the lead in half in the 87
th minute. Marywood had once more shot before the horn sounded, but the ball went high.
Jackson Laznik made four save in net for the win. Neumann outshot Marywood 13-9 overall, but the Pacer led on net 5-3.
Neumann (5-4-4, 2-0-0 Atlantic East) heads to La Salle on Monday evening for a game against the Explorers. Action gets underway at 7:00 PM.
