GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team fell at Messiah College 3-0 on Friday evening. Set scores were 25-14, 25-23 and 25-14.
In the match, senior
Dani Smith reached her 1,000
th career dig. She finished the match with 15 digs while handing out 16 assists.
Julia Solomon tallied 10 kills.
Hannah Strohm notched 15 digs and
Bri Gautier added 12.
In the second set, the Falcons jumped out to an early 7-0 lead. The Knights chipped their way back into the match and with five straight points got to within three, 18-15. A service aces by Gautier made the score 23-21. Neumann stayed within striking distance but could not get the tying point.
Neumann (6-12) opens Atlantic East Conference action next Saturday at Gwynedd Mercy University. The match gets underway at 12:00 PM.
