BALTIMORE, Md. – Neumann University's Men's Lacrosse team saw their three game winning streak end as they dropped a 14-8 decision against non-conference foe, Goucher College, on Wednesday night.
The game action started with a feeling out process as neither team was able to draw consistent offensive prowess. Goucher struck first at the 6:41 mark and made it 2-0 with just over a minute left in the first. Just nine seconds later,

Brendan Boschi, who in-turn gave it to Wexler who deposited the ball home, pulling the Knights within one after 15 minutes of play.
Neumann tied the game up at two, 2:14 into the second as Boschi fed
Gannon McKee from behind the cage. 37 seconds later, Boschi got in the goal column after grabbing a pass from
Renzo Garone, and the Knights got their first lead of the game. The Gophers ended the three goal run at the 9:58 mark then took the lead 1:05 later. With just under five minutes left in the half, Garone bounced home a goal, tying the game at four. Boschi got on the board again at the 1:27 mark with an underhand rocket giving the Knights a 5-4 lead at the break.
The back-and-forth nature continued into the third as the Gophers tied the game up, 54 seconds into the period.
Connor Hurley got the lead again for Neumann as he fired one home from 25 yards out with 11:22 left in the quarter. The lead lasted just over two minutes as Goucher scored three times in three minutes for an 8-6 advantage. They added two man-up goals before Hurley ended the Gophers' five goal run. Goucher added two more goal, taking a 12-7 lead into the fourth.
Boschi tried to get Neumann on the comeback trail, 1:25 into the quarter, but again, the Gophers had a response. Both offenses fell silent until Goucher scored a man up goal with 3:30 left.
Boschi led the Knights with three goals and two assists. Hurley had two goals while Garone had a goal and two assists. Methlie had nine ground balls as he helped the Knights to 19 faceoff wins against seven losses.

Neumann(4-2) will be back in action on Saturday, March 16
th when they visit Lebanon Valley College. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 PM start.
