Men’s Lacrosse Falls at Cabrini

RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Lacrosse were handed a 26-7 loss at the hands of Cabrini University in an Atlantic East Conference game on Wednesday afternoon, ended a four-game win streak.
 
Cabrini picked up the first two goals of the game before Renzo Garone scored his 27th goal of the season with 12:20 left in the first quarter. After the Cavaliers, retook a two-goal lead, Connor Hurley scored his 26th of the year with just over eight minutes remaining in the frame. Cabrini picked up two straight goals, just under a minute apart then Luke Sykes got on the board with 3:47 left in the period. The Cavaliers scored two more goals, seven seconds apart for a 7-3 lead after one.
 
Brendan Boschi opened the scoring, 2:37 into the second, and picked up another right after a Cabrini goal, making it an 8-5 game. The Cavaliers took full control of the game scoring the last four goals of the half for a 12-5 lead.
 
They continued to add on scoring seven of the eight goals in the third. The only Knights goal was with 11:53 remaining when Sykes notched his 15th of the season. The fourth was more of the season as Neumann was outscored by another 7-1 margin. The lone Knights goal was Brendan Boschi's 53rd of the year.
 
Boschi finished with a hat-trick and added two assists. Sykes had a two-goal performance with four ground balls. Jake Methlie was again sharp at the center circle winning 15 of the 23 draws he took, adding 11 ground balls. Jason Fuquay led the defensive corps with three caused turnovers. Owen Avelar made a whopping 23 saves to try and keep the Knights alive in the game.
 
Neumann (8-5, 2-1 Atlantic East) will get back to action on Wednesday, April 17th when they host Immaculata University. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
