IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team edged Immaculata University 5-4 on Tuesday afternoon in an Atlantic East Conference matchup.
The Knights started the match strong, taking all three doubles matches.
Daniel Bonowski and
Jason Petrin battled at first doubles, coming away with a 9-8 (7-6) win.
Vince Landis and
Joe Troilo won second doubles 8-2 while
Tony Andrews and
Logan Gorbitz took third doubles 8-1.
Troilo kept up the wins by taking fourth singles 6-0, 6-3.
James Leuzzi sealed the win with a 6-1, 6-1 win at sixth singles.
Neumann (7-4, 2-1 Atlantic East) will host the Atlantic East postseason this coming Friday and Saturday. Semifinal action gets underway at 12:00 PM on Friday.
