Women’s Lacrosse to Visit Immaculata in First Round Matchup

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Lacrosse team will be the No. 5 seed in the Atlantic East Conference tournament and will take on No. 4 seeded Immaculata in first round action on Saturday afternoon.
 
Neumann had an overall record of 7-9 and finished 2-4 in conference play. Immaculata was 9-7 and 3-3 in the conference.
 
In their lone regular season meeting, the Knights were dealt an 18-14 loss. Lindsey Fagan led the offense with five goals and an assist. Ainsley George also had a five-goal performance with Cionni Warrington picking up a hat-trick and an assist. Maggie Blemings led with four assists.
 
Catriona Corrigan made 12 saves in net while grabbing six ground balls. Maggie Miller had three draw controls and a ground ball as Lian Sydorowicz scooped up five ground balls. Warrington and Blemings had four ground balls while Fagan had three.
 
Looking at the entire season, Fagan led the Knights with 45 goals and 57 points. George added 31 goals and Warrington had 24. Blemings was the leading assist getter with 35. Miller led with 35 ground balls while causing the most turnovers with 25 and snatching a team-high 66 draw controls. Corrigan played the majority of the time in goal, starting 15 of 16 games, making 110 saves in 829 minutes.
 
On the other side of the bracket, No. 6 Gwynedd Mercy will visit No. 3 Marywood. Saturday's winners will head to the semifinals to take on No. 1 Cabrini and No. 2 Marymount on Wednesday. The winners from Wednesday will play for the 2024 Atlantic East Championship on Saturday, May 4th at the home of the highest remaining seed.
