ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Lacrosse team, on Wednesday evening, will battle Cabrini University in the Atlantic East Conference semifinals starting at 7:00 PM.
 
The Knights currently have a record of 9-8 and had a regular season conference record of 2-4, giving them the fifth seed in the tournament. The Cavaliers had a perfect 6-0 record in conference playing, earning them the number one seed and a first-round bye. Their overall record is 13-4.
 
In Neumann's first-round match-up, they upended the fourth seed, Immaculata University by a final score of 17-12. Brendan Boschi led the attack with three goals and four assists. Matt Morris had a hat-trick and Connor Hurley added three goals and two assists. Renzo Garone contributed on both sides of the ball with two caused turnovers and a two-goal, three-assist performance. Jake Methlie continued his torrid pace in the face-off spot as he won 18 of the 22 that he took, along-with a team-high 13 ground balls. Owen Avelar made 14 saves to secure the win.
 
Boschi heads into this playoff tilt with a conference high 63 goals. With his 37 assists, he's landed right on 100 points, third for a single season in Neumann program history. Hurley follows with 37 goals while Garone is third on the team with 35 to go with his 28 assists. Callum Labonte leads the defensive effort with 18 caused turnovers and Jake Methlie secures the possession with a conference-best faceoff win percentage of .671, and 139 ground balls, which is second.
 
In their lone meeting of the season, Neumann fell by a final score of 26-7. Boschi led the way with three goals and two assists while Luke Sykes put up two goals of his own. Owen Avelar made 23 saves between the pipes.
 
The winner of this game will face either Gwyned Mercy or Marymount on Saturday, May 4^th to decide the Atlantic East Conference champion.
