Knights Double-Up Aggies

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - The Neumann University Men's Soccer team picked up a 2-1 win over the Delaware Valley University Aggies in a non-conference match on Friday afternoon.

The first half was a scoreless affair but in the 57th minute, Jake Kuzmick blocked a clear attempt, stole the ball, and shot it into the back of the net from outside the 18-yard line to give the Knights a 1-0 lead.

The Aggies had a breakaway attempt with 17:30 left on the clock, but the ball went wide of the net. On the counter offensive, Zion Atta-Krah pressured the defense into a turnover and the ball dropped the Riley Senisi, who banged it off of the post and in for his first collegiate goal, doubling the Neumann lead. Although Delaware Valley scored 10 seconds later, Neumann was able to hold them off for the victory.

In addition to Senisi's game-winner, he led the Knights with four shots off the bench with three of them on goal. Kuzmick took three shots with two on goal while both of Nick LoBiondo's shots hit the cage. Jackson Laznik made two saves in goal to secure the victory.

Neumann (2-2-2) will be back in action on Wednesday when they take on the Chargers from Lancaster Bible College in another non-conference battle. Opening kick from the Turf Field is scheduled for 7:00 PM
