ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Soccer team battled non-conference foe, Stockton University, to a 1-1 tie on Saturday afternoon.
In a physical and intense matchup, Neumann was awarded a free kick from just outside of the 18-yard box in the eighth minute of the match.
Nick LoBiondo paced a low shot through the wall that was saved by the goalkeeper but
Jake Kuzmick poked home the rebound for his fourth goal of the season and a 1-0 lead. The Ospreys were able to equalize in the 25th minute. In spite of playing a man short for the entire second half, the Knights were able to keep pace with Stockton until the final whistle.
Kuzmick led with two shots, both on goal.
Luke Mejia and
Zion Atta-Krah also had two shots in the game.
Jackson Laznik was sharp in goal, making six saves.
Neumann(2-3-3) will take to the pitch on Tuesday when they head to Widener University for a 4:00 PM start.
