CHESTER, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Soccer team took the short trip to Widener University's campus and came away with a scoreless tie on Tuesday afternoon.
The first half was a scoreless affair as both defenses were able to limit the opposition's quality chances. Widener did have most of the possession, outshooting the Knights, 3-2, and out-cornering them by a 5-1 margin. The second was similar to the first but Neumann was more efficient in their opportunities. They outshot the Pride 5-4, 2-1 on goal, but neither team could get on the scoreboard.
Jake Kuzmick led the Knights' attack with two shots, one on goal.
Connor Ryan also had two shot attempts.
Jackson Laznik was sharp in goal with four saves for the clean sheet.
Neumann(2-3-4) will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when they visit York College in another non-conference match. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
