ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Soccer team celebrated their seniors by picking up an Atlantic East Conference win on Saturday afternoon as they upended Pratt Institute by a final score of 3-2.
 
Kyleigh Joniec came off of the bench to lead the Knights with two goals. Liz Purcell took five shots, four on goal, on her way to a goal and an assist. Ebony Arvelo had four shots, two on goal while Anna Poehlmann placed two of her three shots on frame.
 
Pratt came out of the gate with  jump and took an early 1-0 lead in the third minute after a costly turnover. In the 38^th minute, after grabbing momentum in the game, Joniec took a bouncing pass that eluded the goalkeeper and pushed it in to equalize the match. Three and a half minutes later, Addison Torres raced up the sideline and crossed the ball to Purcell who deposited her second goal of the season, giving the Knights the lead.
 
To start the second half, the Cannoneers wasted little time in getting even as they put in a goal just 39 seconds in. In the 62^nd minute, Neumann took the lead for good. A Pratt clearing attempt landed at the feet of Joniec and she popped the ball high in the air, just over the goalkeeper for her second goal of the season.
 
Neumann (4-8-2, 2-1 Atlantic East) will be back on the pitch next Saturday when they host Gwynedd Mercy University for a 1:00 PM start.
