GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Soccer team notched a 2-0 Atlantic East Conference win over Gwynedd Mercy University on Saturday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half in which Neumann outshot Gwynedd Mercy by a 22-2 margin, they were finally able to strike in the second. In the 65
th minute, a ball was lifted into the box and chested down to
Jordan Illian. He beat two defenders and blasted a shot into the top left corner for the 1-0 lead. Nine minutes later, in the 74
th minute, the Knights were awarded a penalty shot and Illian drove it in for his second of the game and 10
th of the season.
Illian in total took 13 shots with seven going on goal.
Owen Rem came off the bench and put two of his three shots on frame.

Markus Beugre also had three shots each.
AJ Henry pitched his sixth shutout of the season with three saves as the Knights won now won six of their lost seven, all via the clean sheet.
Neumann (8-3-3, 4-0 Atlantic East) will return to action on Wednesday evening as they host Immaculata University for a 7:00 PM start.
