ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Hockey team dropped a 2-0 non-conference game against Saint John Fisher University on Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals and Knights went scoreless in the first period but at the 6:24 mark of the second, Saint John Fisher struck after a wraparound failed and they deposited the rebound. Just over five minutes later, they doubled their edge on a breakaway. Neumann battled in the third period and had chances to score but, ultimately, could not push a puck into the net.

Kenna Sanders and
Paige Russell both had three shots on goal to lead the offensive effort.
Charlotte Labre won nine of the 12 faceoffs she took, and Lucie Velinská blocked three shots.
Brook Adams kept the Knights close with a 38-save performance.

Neumann (0-2) will begin MAC Conference play on Friday when they host Lebanon Valley College at 4:00 PM.
