ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Volleyball is preparing to open the 2025 Atlantic East Conference tournament as they host Centenary University in a first round match on Tuesday night.
The Knights finished their regular season with an overall record of 11-11. In conference played, they were 4-3, putting them in fourth place. Centenary is the No. 5 seed by virtue of their 3-4 conference record. Overall, they were 15-14.
Neumann will be led offensively by
Julia Solomon's 282 kills, which is third in the conference. She is followed by
Melissa Eddy's 259 kills and
Taylor Long's 153, showing off a balanced attack. Eddy leads the Knights with 62 service aces while
Kyla Carney in their key setter with 462 assists. On the defensive side, Hanna Strohm leads the squad with 458 digs.
Soleil-La'Jour Staggs is formidable at the net with 70 blocks, second in the Atlantic East, with 22 of them block solos.
Back on November 1
st, Neuman won their regular season meeting by a 3-1 margin. They split the first two set with Neumann winning the first, 25-16, and Centenary taking the second, 25-19. From there, the Knights won the final two sets by identical 25-23 scores. Eddy led with 19 kills and three service aces.
Kyla Carney had 44 assists, Strohm had 23 digs, and Solomon had two blocks, both solos.
The winner of Tuesday's match will advance to the semifinals to take on No.1 seeded Marymount down in Virginia on Thursday night.
