ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Hockey team dropped a 6-0 decision to Lebanon Valley College in their MAC conference opener on Friday afternoon.
The Flying Dutchwomen got the scoring started midway through the first period. They exploded in the second with three goals in 93 seconds, including a power play goal for a 4-0 lead after two. Lebanon Valley added a goal at the 5:20 mark of the third period and then a shorthanded goal with 9:36 left.
Gia Santorello and
Charlotte Labre each put four shots on goal to lead the Neumann offense.
Harper Oakes added three shots.
Sammie Haun blocked four shots to help defensively while
Noelle Woodard made 41 saves in net.
Neumann (0-3, 0-1 MAC) and Lebanon Valley will again clash on Saturday night at Hersheypark Arena in Hershey, Pa. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
