ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team dropped an Atlantic East Conference game late to Centenary University, 73-69, on Wednesday evening.

Prior to the game, the Knights honored its seniors: Olivia Pagliuso, Emily DuPont, Lauren Klieber and Aubrie Breisblatt, along with fifth-year Jacqueline Wardrop.

All five seniors scored at least two points in the game. DuPont led the team with 17 points while adding seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Breisblatt tallied 12 points. Wardrop needed nine points.

Lindsay Holden scored 13 points in the game. Bri Gautier notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards.

The first quarter featured six tied scores. The Knights held the 20-18 edge after the first 10 minutes. Tied at 27 with 3:21 left in the second quarter, Neumann went on a 9-2 run to go into halftime leading 36-29.

Centenary came out of halftime and scored the first six points to pull within one, 36-35. The teams would once again go back and forth and have four tied scores. Two free throws by the Cyclones to end the quarter gave them a 53-52 lead.

With 1:05 left in regulation, Centenary held a 69-64 advantage. A layup and three-pointer by Holden tied the game at 69 with 23 on the clock. With the time winding down and the Cyclones with the ball, Centenary was fouled and hit both shots for a two-point lead with four seconds left.

After a timeout, the Knights inbounded the ball but turned it over and the Cyclones hit a layup to seal the win.
