IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team dropped a 63-44 decision at Immaculata University on Wednesday evening in an Atlantic East Conference matchup.
Lindsay Holden led the Knights with 14 points.
Emily DuPont added 13 points, nine rebounds and four steals.
The Mighty Macs scored the first three points of the game before the Knights went on a 13-0 run for a 13-3 lead with 3:46 left in the first quarter. Immaculata scored the final six points of the quarter for a 13-9 score at the break.
With 6:48 on the clock in the second quarter, the teams were knotted at 16. The teams traded baskets over the next three minutes and were tied at 24 with 3:42 left before halftime. The Mighty Macs went on a 7-0 run and a 9-3 run to end the half for a 33-27 advantage at the break.
Immaculata worked its lead to double-digits in the third quarter and continued to add to its lead in the fourth for the 63-44 win.
Neumann (13-8, 4-3 Atlantic East) returns home next Wednesday when it hosts Centenary. Prior to the 6:00 PM start, the Knights will honor their seniors.
