REISTERSTOWN, Md. – The Neumann University Men's Hockey team dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime contest against Stevenson University in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) semifinals on Saturday evening.
After a scoreless first 19 minutes of the game, Stevenson caught a break on a turnover and took a 1-0 lead with 58 seconds left in the period. After a scoreless second, Neumann went on the powr play early in the third and found a way to convert. At the 2:10 mark,

Luke Croucher on a breakaway who slipped in his sixth goal of the season to tie the game at one. 6:52 into overtime, the Mustangs were able to score to pick up the win.
PJ Demitrio and Croucher were formidable in the face-off circle as they combined for 39-22 record in faceoffs.
Cole DeFazio made 45 saves in goal.
Neumann ends their season with a 16-7-3 record after only getting seven wins a season ago, making the postseason for the first time in four seasons.
