ST. DAVID'S, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team was upended at Eastern University 25-4 on Saturday afternoon.
Brendan Boschi scored three goals for the Knights and added two assists for points on all five goals.
Matt Morris added a goal and an assist.
Jake Methlie went 11-for-16 in faceoffs and picked up 10 ground balls.
Owen Avelar made 12 saves in net in the first half.
Tayo Abodunde played five minutes in net and did not face a shot.
Cory Hemberger made seven saves over 25 minutes.
The Eagles opened the game by scoring the first three goals. Boschi put the Knights on the board with 9:37 left in the first quarter.
Gannon McKee also found the back of the net, but Eastern held a 6-2 lead after the first quarter. The Eagles went up 15-4 at halftime.
Boschi netted the final goal of the game, coming with 4:03 left on the clock, for the 25-4 final.
Neuman (2-5) returns home on Thursday and will host the University of New England beginning at 4:00 PM.
