ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team defeated Penn State Brandywine 6-1 on Thursday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.
The Knights opened the match by sweeping doubles action.
Jason Petrin and
Vince Landis made quick work at first doubles, 6-0.
Joe Troilo and
Anthony Carpinella took second doubles 6-1.
Logan Gorbitz and
Tony Andrews rounded out doubles action with 6-0 win at third doubles.
Neumann continued to play well in singles, winning five-of-six. Petrin (first), Landis (second) and Troilo (third) all won their matches by 6-0, 6-2 scores.
James Leuzzi won fourth singles 6-1, 6-2.
Trevor Lodge made his Knights' debut and won fifth singles 6-0, 6-0.
Adam Barisa battled at sixth singles, but fell 6-3, 6-4.
Neumann (3-3) opens Atlantic East action on Saturday when it heads to Pratt Institute. The match is slated to begin at 12:00 PM.
