DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team defeated Delaware Valley University 18-6 on Wednesday afternoon.
Connor Paradis led the Knights with six goals.
Connor Hurley and
Gannon McKee each tallied three goals and three assists.
Carter Vanderhoofven netted two goals.
Luke Sykes added a goal and three assists.
The Knights went 22-for-28 in the faceoff circle.
Jake Methlie was 13-for-18.
Sean Kelly went 6-for-7 and
Matt Mohan was a perfect 3-for-3.
Owen Avelar started the game in net for the win. He made seven saves over the first half.
Cory Hemberger played the third quarter, into the fourth quarter.
Tayo Abodunde and
Joe Mcfiberesima each made a save in net to close out the game.
Neumann scored the first eight goals of the game. McKee opened the scoring five minutes into the game. The Knights held a 3-0 after the first quarter. The Aggies got on the board in the final minute of the first half for an 8-1 score at the break.
McKee opened the second half scoring and the Knights outscored the Aggies 6-2 in the third quarter for a 14-3 score. Hurley added two man-down goals in the fourth quarter on the way to the 18-6 final.
Neumann (3-7) heads to Penn College on Saturday for a 1:00 PM faceoff.
