WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Neumann University's Men's Lacrosse fell to Penn College by a final score of 21-6 on Saturday in a non-conference match-up.
Gannon McKee led the Knights with three goals and two assists, converting all three of his shots on goal.
Connor Paradis contributed two goals, including a power-play goal, and one assist on four shots.
Owen Avelar was pivotal in goal, making 19 saves.
After Penn College scored the first four goals of the game, the Knights found the net at 6:37 with McKee scoring their lone goal of the period, assisted by
Carter Vanderhoofven. Neumann's goalkeeper Avelar made several saves, but Penn College maintained pressure, finishing the quarter with a 6-1edge.
In the second, Penn College expanded their lead with four consecutive goals, McKee scored for the Knights at 4:16, assisted by Paradis. The Knights maintained some possession, but the Wildcats scored the last three goals of the quarter for a 13-2 lead at the half..
In the third quarter, Neumann's Paradis capitalized on a man-up opportunity, scoring at 12:57 with an assist from McKee. McKee then scored again at 10:56, assisted by
Luke Sykes, highlighting a strong offensive push. Although
Connor Hurley scored with just 53 seconds left, Neumann was unable to close the scoring gap, ending the quarter with a score of 17-5 in favor of Penn College. In the final period, Paradis scored for the Knights at 9:08, assisted by Hurley. Unfortunately for Neumann, Penn College scored the last four goals of the game and took the win.
Neumann (3-8) will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Lebanon Valley College in the last non-conference game of the 2025 campaign. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 PM start.
